André has created a child-centered, welcoming home environment in which children feel free to play, explore and learn. Using his experience as a stay-at-home-father of three, coupled with his years of experience as a teacher-counselor in public schools, André provides an enriching learning environment for children thatis at once stimulating, playful, and peaceful. André is especially gifted at teaching social skills, positive communication, and peaceful conflict resolution.
André is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Philosophy. He plays the guitar, speaks German, and has hiked the Appalachian Trail - Maine to Georgia - with his dog Franco.
André's wife, Karen, is the director of a school for childrne with learning and behavioral differences. Karen, an educator for 19 years, works closely with André developing curriculum, planning activities and preparing the environment.
